In the heart of cotton country, Carencro, Louisiana had two operating cotton gins until the 1970s. Legend has it that a mastodon skeleton was once found there, but the proof is sketchy.
The Carencro Belt is constructed from 8 to 10 oz. harness leather to last a lifetime. Literally. It will gain lots of character with age and use. The antique nickel buckle and nickel screws are heavy duty hardware designed to last.
