Natchitoches Purse

$145

Natchitoches Purse with adjustable strap.

Description

Natchitoches. If you’re not from around here you might not know it’s pronounced “nack-a-dish.” The city was named after a local Indian tribe and is the oldest permanent settlement within the Louisiana Purchase. If you’re ever in town, be sure to check out the filming locations for Steel Magnolias, and of course grab a couple of their famous meat pies.

The special design of the Natchitoches purse includes a solid wooden rod in the top fold of the purse, so all the weight is suspended from and distributed through the length of the rod. This is the attachment point for the straps, which means it can’t pull away from the leather with time. It will hold your essentials, plus a couple meat pies for your stroll along the Cane River, and it will just get better looking as time passes.
